I the the safety reversable on this shotgun
from right to left?

It's been a couple of years since I messed with one, but if I recall correctly, it is.

The left hand safety for the Ithaca 37 pump is a mirror of the right, it is a simple change out once you have the part. I think they made two sizes, the frame for the 12 is larger than the one for the 20/16, I have only seen the LH safety for the 12. The old Ithaca company used to sell them, but I have not looked for or seen one for sale for years. You could call them and ask (1.877.648.4222). If they won't sell you one, you could check with the parts houses or ask at small town independant gun shops, you might find a old stock or used one.
