These are beginning to become commonplace.

Is it my computer or are others experiencing similar slow downs.

I left the site earlier today because it got too slow. Came back on just now and it's okay again. Not the first time it's happened in the last few days.

Yes this afternoon the site just bogged down about 3:00 Pacfic time.
It took over 4 minutes just to log off at that time.

And now my other login name will not accept the password again.

Working fine for me, and has been for many months since the new software updates....Course the first couple of days were a little sketchy, but after that.....smooth as silk.

I think the slow-downs are intermittent, thus not all users may have the bad luck to run into one. They do happen, though.

It can also be a case of Internet traffic and not necessarily the A/R web site itself. Just like cars on the highways, some days (or minutes) traffic is heavier at times than at other times.

I hope you are correct. But, this is how it started last time. At first, the slow downs were infrequent. Then they started increasing. Then became very regular. I seem to be hitting the slow downs more and more often.

It's happening here as well. I actually tried to start a thread like this one day last week, but got tired of waiting & logged off. No kidding.

No question that it is normally fast, but more and more often there is a hiccup and it is dreadfully slow. Most of the time it will load a page in tenths of a second, but many times throughout the day it will take 15 or 20 seconds to load the page and occasionally it will take a couple of minutes.

I don't believe it is the internet itself, because I can close out this site when it slows down, and no problems elsewhere on the net.

Yeah, I agree, though I have no idea what the problem could be. I suspect the SQL server software that runs the message databases. There may be times when it gets a lot of requests and kind of "hangs". But, I'm not an expert in this area. Something is intermittent. But, it's still a lot better than the problems we were experiencing some time back with the prior version of the UBB.threads software.
