I have just gotten in on trade a Mod 1912 20ga with a 26" MOD barrel. No vent rib, standard configuration. Serial number 9988, which according to http://armscollectors.com/sn/winlookup.php was manufactured in 1913. I am not sure how much it is actually worth for resale value because it has been reblued. The barrel must have been in bad shape on the bottom because they almost took off the serial number...it is still readable to verify that the numbers on the receiver match, but just barely. The rest of the inscriptions on the topside of the barrel look good and are still fairly crisp. The action on the gun locks up tighter than any of my other 3 mod12's, and there is no pitting around the firing pin and the bolt asy is in excellent shape. The receiver's serial is very sharp and shows no signs of wear since being reblued. The wood appears to be unmolested and is in very good shape with just a few old dings in the wood. If anyone can shed some light on the ballpark value of the gun I would appreciate it. Thanks to all. AB Healthy is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die "Men don't change. Alex, I would say a 20 ga. that has been reblued is somewhere in the $500 range. Give or take a little depending on just how it looks. Just a shot in the dark without actually seeing it but 20's are getting a little more difficult to find. Michael J Michael J | |||
