I did'nt know where to post this so here goes.
I have a chance to trade a 98 mauser 220 swift for an olympic arms ar-15.are they any good? do they compare to dpms or bushmaster? this one fires twice with one pull of the trigger so I'm guessing it needs a new trigger.and are parts interchangable with all ar parts?
thanks for your help.

Ty,

I like AR's too. My experience is that some Oly Arms are okay. Bushmaster, DPMS and Armalite are better. 2 rounds with 1 pull could be nothing more than an out of whack disconnector... Yes the trigger parts are interchangeable... except with the newer colts which take the larger pin.

A friend of mine has a custom built AR with Olympic upper, lower, and barrel. I haven't heard too many good things about Olympic, but I have read there warranty, which is very attractive. My buddy's AR shoots under .5 MOA as long as he is doing his part. As far as the trigger, if you do trade, put in a JP Enterprises setup. I put one in my Colt, 3.5lbs. and very little creep, one of the best I've felt in any semi-auto.
