Okay, I quit pussy footing around and purchased a Model 70 left hand in 7stw,now which way should I go in rebarreling and chamber 375H&H or 416 Remington? This will be for the hunt in 05,looking more and more like RSA for plains and ZIM for buff, will be taking the 300 Weatherby also.

Dave,
416 rem, and don't look back. While the 375 would be fine for buff, etc, you can be assured that the 416 will take em with grace.

Some will say the recoil is close. I don't think so, but it' easy to overcome. and 300gr X bullets are a jimdandy

I would pick the 416. If you have a 300 Mag for the plains game, then the 416 will do a better job than the 375 on the buffalo.

And the 416 Remington is a great round!

Joe.
