The # 3 would certainly handle it, but the .45-70 can be loaded pretty hot in the Ruger without the rechamber cost. I have one in .375 H&H. It is my 6�# loaner, and has produced more Weatherby eyebrows than deer. Cheers from Darkest California, Ross | ||
