I designed this rifle as an inline striker system break action. All design work is compromise, but it still worked out. There is a straight line from the firing pin tip to the south end of the stock thru bolt, hence the somewhat strange looking grip area. Oh well.
It is chambered for 30-30 and pretty much does what it is supposed to!
That's a nice effort. You could possibly derive inspiration if you follow the link below you will find some unque, one-off break open guns by Phillip Ollendorf - Austrian Gunmaker. I meet him some years ago and was awestruck by his work.
I have several break open single shots in H&R. Love' em! I have configured a 30-30 for my grandson. The CEB 100 gr Raptor bullet is cool and really kills deer size game. ( He killed a blu wildebeest with it.) Seat it shallow and load it up. Also, I ordered some CEB 130gr. Raptors. for him. The overall length of a break open single shot is nice and short.
