I am not a duplicator expert, but the duplicators I have seen all hold the pattern between centers. Therefore, you have a center hole in both ends of the pattern stock. There was no damage done to the pattern stock from the stylus though. Todd E | ||

If the gent running the duplicator is experienced, and has a "soft" stylus (we use UHMW Polyethelyne), and he knows how to put a piece of hardwood in the "pattern" stock for the front center of the duplicator, and he knows how to set up the pattern and the blank properly, then, yes, you will have minimal damage. But, checkering will likely be affected. The recoil pad has to come off also. If your Win M70 stock is a factory pattern, then the stock maker should already have a pattern, that is, if he has been duplicating stocks for some time. ------------------ My Warden sometimes allows me to respond to email.
