I've bought them from H-S Precision directly because I can get them in the color I want.

Try Midway if the standard black will do.

I've gotten them from Midway, Cabelas and Brownells. Whoever has them cheapest and in-stock.

The Ultra mag actions drop right in a regular long action stock. Barrel profile is the same as a regular magnum profile also.

I bought mine for a Montana from Midway. It is a nice stock.

where is the best place (cost wise) to get a HS precision stock for my remington 700? are there any differences between the ultra mag actions and the long actions?

Does H-S Precision make a stock specifically for the Montana action, or was it basically a M-70 stock? Oh, and was it a "regular" length action, or a "short" action?
