Many years ago, a friend came back from hunting in Pakistan. He brought back a rifle made by those working in some alleyways in the North next to the Afghan border. I cannot remember what caliber it was, but in those days we didn’t have ammo for it. Anyway, in those days all the ammo we had were like the 303 British and 7 and 8mm Mausers. I remember looking through the barre with a light at the other end. The rifling had several kinks in it. It was not a continuous circle as normal. I have no idea what happened to that rifle - about 50 years ago. Just had a thought it might have been a good exercise to shoot it and see how it works. This all came about as I received 3 rifles chambered for the 6.5 Creedmoor. We have some factory ammo from Hornady and RWS in several bullet weights. Bullets we have from 85 grains to 143 grains. I am traveling, and on my return I will try to compare these three rifles with both factory ammo and reloads.

I have a Jap99 in 300 savage. Looks like some one turned the barrel on with a pipe wrench. Large teeth marks in it. It well only feed with two rounds being used. It does shoot 3 shots into on ragged hole at 50 yards. Paid only 30 dollars for it. It is my barrowing rifle.
