Does anyone know if a standard Recknagel 3 position safety will work on a Mauser Kurz action?

The Kurz 98 is just a 98, only shorter. Bolt shroud is the same. Now, I sold the last Kurz action I had and can't double check for you....disclaimer in case I'm wrong.

it should work just fine ..

The front section, ( threaded nose ) is roughly 2 mm shorter from what I recall decades ago when I made a batch of them for H & W in Germany

This is so the mainspring can be depressed enough to allow the cocking piece to go onto the firing pin.

Thus having a different spring or shape of sleeve could change this distance
