I what to bed a 10/22 action; however, first, I must enlarge the barrel channel to float a tapered barrel. What is the best way to do this? Kudude

You can either tape the sides of the barrel to protect it from the pen you will use to trace the barrel profile on the stock with, or, lay a piece of type paper in the barrel channel and set the barreled action back in the stock. Lift one side of the paper and trace the taper, and then do the same to the other side. Cut the material to the line. Remember, the lines are our friends, stay within the lines. Big Grin

If you have a factory receiver with 1 receiver hold down bolt, floating it will be a mistake.
