Where would you guys recommend I shop for good quality used lathes, mills, etc., at fair prices, in the Phoenix, AZ metro area?

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Craigslist!
That is where the best deals are. There are few used machinery dealers in Phx, and fewer yet that have decent prices.
An exception is a smaller dealer of used stuff named Cliff May 602-316-0100.

There is a yahoo groups home shop club called Valley Metal, check them out for used machinery.

Stay away from a guy name Tom _________???, Sells on CL. no bargains there, ever.

Sorry guys, couldn't resist. We just took delivery of an American Brand Lathe to handle larger work than we usually do with our other manual and Okuma CNC lathes. This is Kirk about to face off a cast gear blank.

We got the machine, Government Surplus in like new condition, from Machinery Consultants in SLC, Utah.

The Govt has a bad habit of getting rid of perfectly good equipment at cheap too! I used a bunch of it while in training back in the '90s. One thing I never went without from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I clocked out was safety glasses! Saved my eyesight many times over!

Good looking Lathe,
Battleship grey too!
