I know might be a long shot, but would any of the real gunsmiths on here know if/where a trigger for a Sako L57 might be found?

I believe that a trigger for a later L579 (or L461 or L61R) will work if you simply remove the safety lever. Similarly, Timney triggers for either the Sako or 98 Mauser (sans safety) will fit, but often the trigger finger lever is wider than the opening slot in the bottom metal so it will need to be widened.

But sorry, I'm not a real gunsmith, nor have I ever played one on TV. I have often driven past the College in Trinidad, Colorado where a gunsmithing school is located, if that counts.

I Think I have one, the safety lever has been removed. It is off a SAKO, but been bouncing around the shop for years so have no birth certificate.

It's yours if you want it. just PM contact info
