What modifications, other than headspace, are required to install a threaded and chambered pre 64 Winchester finished barrel to a controlled feed receiver. The barrel has custom sights and recoil lug and is in 416....very nice piece and belongs on a gun. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ron

I'm assuming that you're putting this on another pre 64 action. The barrel will need to have a cut to clear the extractor. Since the barrel already has sights (and extractor cut?), you may need to adjust the barrel shoulder and breech face so that the sights come up to 12 o'clock. If the breech face is not coned, that'll have to be done.
