I've got a LH SA 1999 action comming for my son. It will be a 257 Roberts 22 inch barrel. I called Boyds they said they will not be making a stock in this configuration any time soon. Wenig's said they would make something work. They sounded real interested in this action. Was wondering what anybody had in mind for your LH SA Montana. I'm thinking laminated for this project at least wood of some kind(walnut). thanks for any ideas.

There is a guy that makes laminated walnut stocks right there where your action is sold in Montana. I'm sorry I'm away from the shop and can't remember the name. If you call the guys at Montana Rifle Co. they should be able to fix you up. If not let me know and I'll try and find the brochure and get you his phone number. He laminates out of the same blank so the laminations are as close to "hidden" as can be and still be laminated.

Good luck,

Coon

Rock-

McMillan is supposed to be making some stocks as well. I think there are some posts to some of the M1999 threads to that effect.

I confirmed that with McMillan.

Listed below is the link to the company referenced by Coon.
