I am getting ready to finish shaping a Richards stock for a CD right hand action.Having nothing to compare it to would like to get some close up photos of both sides of the action to see how it is shaped at the bolt release, rear tang and right side. Could anyone help on that?? Never rode a bull, but have shot some. NRA life member NRA LEO firearms instructor (retired) NRA Golden Eagles member

Probably the best way to get ideas is to go to Champlin's and scroll through their bolt gun pictures. They generally have the best detail in the photos. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Yeah, what triggertate said! Honestly, they have some very detailed photos of work by the very best. Enough gun porn to satisfy 98% of us. Gunmaker That was what I was looking for, great looking rifle. Hope to come somewhere close to that shape. Thanks Rolland Never rode a bull, but have shot some. NRA life member NRA LEO firearms instructor (retired) NRA Golden Eagles member

That shape around the bolt release is my favorite. If djpaintles chimes in, I believe he posted on the Big Bore Forum awhile back of a rifle which had some great stock cuts in it. -Spencer
