Does anyone know if these one piece ringmounts will fit on Sako models older than the 75 & 85? The Sako web site doesn't say, and all the retailers have them listed as "Sako 75 & 85 Ring Mounts".

Is there any reason I couldn't use these mounts on a M591?

Yes, they will fit any Sako (other than the oddball M581) all the way back to the L46. This would include the L57, L461, L579, L61R, A-I, A-II, A-III, A-IV (rare), A-V, S491, S591, S691, TRG-s, M75 (I, II, III, IV, and V), and all of the current crop of pedestrian rifles meant for sale to a generation which grew up on computer-generated graphics.

Another thing, why do you refer to the "S591" and "S691" actions? Aren't they technically the M591 and L691 respectively? I'm just curious to see if my understanding of the Sako nomenclature is correct.
