I would just like to thank you all for the advice you have given me over the last six months on my first Mauser project.

It started out as a Turkish M-38 in it original form, and it is now a .243 varmint rifle.

I bought the stock un-finished, and the barrel was a blank.

Listed below are the parts, and prices that I used.

Turk Mauser M-38 $68.00
A & B Barrel $75.00
Fajen Stock $100.00
Timney trigger $45.00
Satin stock finish $20.00
Reamer (friend had one) $0.00
Bedding kit $15.00
Bending Bolt $40.00
Blueing (friend did it) $0.00

Total $363.00

I used some cheaper parts because I didn’t know how bad I would screw things up, but in the end it turned out OK.

I would post pictures but I don’t know how. If someone is willing to post them for me, please send me your email.

Buck,
