Hi
I wonder if it is possible dispite the difference in case dimension " ppc has .440 in and 222R .378 in". if the gunsmith oppen up the bolt face to accept the ppc's case. would the magazin work ? which more alteration is needed?
best regards

IF the bolt diameter on the BRNO is anything like a SAKO, then no.

I do wonder if you have considered a different "wildcat" ?

I have a 6PPC and a 6 X47 (6mm on a 222 Remington Mag case) and the 6X47 runs with the PPC.

In fact accuracy may be a tad better.

The PPC is in a SAKO-A1...one of the early ones (#091) imported to the US by Stoeger, the 6X47 in a Rem M721 w/ a McMillan bbl in a laminated stock. Velocities are both in the 3050-3200 range depending on bullet wt.

The PPC will NOT shoot heavier bullets (factory twist is to slow)

Sysephus.

I dont intend to step on any toes here but......

The PPC will outshoot a 6X45/47 most of the time. This is of corse with two rifles made up with the same barrels etc. I think your McMillan barrel give the 6X47 a bit of lead in the race against the factory Sako [Smile]

For hunting purposes the 6X47 will do anything a PPC will do without the shadow of a doubth!! The 6X47 is also a lot easyer to feed from the mag.

Danny! I have a 6X47 reamer [Razz]
