The one I saw was a Military Mauser converted by Golden Sate Arms. I remember it as a 98 but my memory does have holes from time to time. Same ones that made the enfield into a Jungle carbine.
As usual just my $.02 Paul K

all the ones I have seen where 98's, I was just wondering what action was used?? I prolly would buy one if I knew the action was made by DWM or FN or husky or something along those lines and not a spanish made action

The last one I saw looked to be German made. I believe it still had the Mod 98 on the side.
The Spanish actions are easy to identify, the serial number is on the left siderail where the Mod 98 on a German Mauser would be or where the Ceskoslovenska Brno marking would be on a vz24.
