I've been searching for this and haven't turned up any info. Anyone know which stainless alloys are used by Savage for actions, bolts and barrels?

Found a cached article from machinedesign.com. Looks like the stainless is 414, from bar stock. Ordered for barrels at a Brinell hardness in the low 200 range, which requires special melts from the foundries and double annealing.
