Recently Tried JB Weld 8281 Original Professional For Bedding.
It sure is nice to work with. Mixes very nicely and is easy to spread and put in place.

I have used most of the other bedding compounds over the years except Pro 2000. Availability and price are an issue for me in Canada. I will stick with JB Weld 8281 for now. Reports say it is reliable and good quality for rifle bedding.

Does any one have experience with it?

Can't get marinetex Grey? Should be at every boat shop. Do not use white, it's flexible

jeffeosso,

As I said, I have used most bedding epoxies over the years except for Pro Bed 2000 which I hear is excellent. I liked them all. I have used Marine epoxy a lot too.

Also, I have a pretty good idea of how to source product.

I used JB Weld as an experiment.
My question was "Does any one else have experience with JB Weld Professional 8281?" Not "How do you source Marine Tex bedding epoxy?"

I am sorry if I was too politic in my answer. Yes, I have used it, didnt care the results in big bores, and since you are known for having big bores, I wouldn't recommend. Asking if you had access to a superior product, and having no way of knowing, I merely suggested a superior, cheap, readily available product. Not knowing that your mind was made up.

Carry on
