I would like to thank everyone who stopped by my table in Reno and congratulated me. It was good to put faces with names on so many of you such as Grandview, Idared, 458 Win, Z1R (thanks for the tall one), Mike Dettore and others that I dont remember.

I would also like to thank Chic Worthing, Marc Stokeld and Jim Dubell who guided me in the right direction when I needed it and encouraged me to apply to the ACGG. For me, being accepted into the guild is not the end, its only the beginning.

And finally thanks to James for the 2nd pair of eyes and brutal honesty when something wasnt right.

We will be back next year. Hope to see many of you there.

Congratualtions. It's quite a step taking what you like to do and making a go at making a living at it. This should only make it easier. One day you can be a millionaire stock maker like Mr. Weibe Smiler

In large part thanks to Bill Soverns, I had a great time in Reno two years ago.

So I take particular pleasure in your admission to the Guild.

It was sort of a no-brainer, Bill, but that doesn't diminish this recognition of the quality of your work.

Congratulations!

It was great to meet you, as well as your fine work, Bill and I'd also like to say congrats as well. I put Grandview on the train back to Wisconsin last night and I am sure he will chime in once he gets back home.

You have all seen photos of this shotgun before so I will save some bandwidth and keep the pics to a minimum.

This LC Smith 12 gauge with 32" was more popular at my table than the g33/40 rifle I had beside it.

This one you havent seen and its now for sale.

Ok, Ok, I've been silent long enough. I was one of those who had the honour of judging the work of both Bill and Jim and it was uniformly excellent.

I asked Bill if he was nervous before the judging and he gave the right answer in my opinion " I couldn't sleep and re-did things". Good answer!

The ACGG is a wonderful place to learn and exchange ideas. I don't believe that any member feels they have all the answers. I know I look at some of the projects and just say "Wow, how did they do that?", then I ask. Wink

Bill,
I also got to vote on your guns and I must say brother, keep up the good work! It wasn't a hard call. Your work is first rate and from what I've seen in you, it will only get better and better with age. Keep your high standards. They will take you far. It was great seeing you and I look forward to seeing you in Reno for many years to come.

A sincere and hearty congratulations! ...now take back the remark about the G33/40 actioned rifle! Big Grin

Thank you Steve! I just finished the chapter in your new book about the custom LC Smith. I have a really bad jones for those shotguns. I have more than I probably should. That chapter did inspire me to do a complete rework of one of my field grades. Great pictures and I will be contacting Turks Head for more pictures of Mr Silvers work.
