<RENRAF>Source of take off barrels?
I am looking for a source of take barrels (preferably Remingtons)? Anybody?

craigsterCheck in Gun List or Shotgun News, always seem to be some there. Also, Chesters Firearms in PA have quite a few. Sorry, but I dont have the phone # for them.

GeorgeSChester's is in NY; the phone number is 631-696-3800. I've bought many guns from Chester, and can vouch for his integrity. If he tells you a barrel is new it is.

I've got 2. Both are Winchester barrels, a .270 win and a 7mm stw. Make me an offer.

<RENRAF>mark65x55, thanks anyway, but I should have been more specific. I am really most interested in a centerfire .22, thanks anyway.

Bob338I've gotten a couple of barrels from Pac-Nor in Oregon. They replace many barrels there and sell the good take-offs for $40, the last time I got one. It's a constant source and constant supply.

larrys www.mikesshooting.com He has all kinds. If you need an ADL .243 with sights, let me know. I have one cheap.

CustomstoxRenraf,
I have one chambered in .223 Remington. It is an Arnold Arms barrel but is threaded for a Remington action. Also have a .308, a .338 Ultra Mag (stainless), and a 7mm STW all in Remgington 700 barrels.

<RENRAF>Thanks for all the responses, Pac-Nor says they don't have any, I'm not in a big hurry, so I will wait for the right one. (.220Swift or 22-250) Thanks again

<Phil R>Whenever Pac-Nor does a rebarreling for me, I have them return the takeoff barrel.
