Hello Guys

If at all possible I have in mind a stock in the modern "English" style.

Does anyone know of a top notch stock duplicator with a range of photographed patterns for small ring stocks who might do a semi-inlet stage stock for me on my blank??.

I'm sort of running out of folk to try, I've written to the Biesens (no reply) and talked with Mike Kokolus (pretty hard to determine a pattern over the phone).

Any suggestions of who has a nice english style large ring stock pattern (and advice if they might be flexible enough to try doing a small ring inlet) ??

If that line of enquiry doesn't work out would it be possible to do a good job using a large ring inlet if I have spare wood to fill the difference in the ring diameter (I'd be trimming/reshaping quite a bit to get the foreward part of the stock to small ring proportions) ??

instead of writing, why not call roger? he's there pretty much every day, mon-fri 8-5, sat 8-noon. if you emailed them from their website, be aware paula is the only one that looks at that, and she's in a different shop. call (509) 328-6818. roger's great to deal with.

Thanks Heath - Well I sorta got the impression from their website that calls were not really welcome due to old Mr Biesen, and I hate to intrude on these folks unless I already know them (thats why I wrote - maybe I'm kinda old-fashioned), but I'll give a call a try. Thanks

the website warning is more so you don't call in the middle of the night. al is actually doing quite well, from what i can tell. last time i was there, about a month ago, he was working on bedding a stock. said it was a personal gun that he was finally getting around to. he's a bit hard of hearing, but it's wonderful to listen to his stories. Good luck on the stock!

Get with Chuck Grace in Trinidad. He does a good job and has lots of patterns.
