Needed Old Mauser front sight
I have an older Mauser commission rifle that is in need of a front sight blade. It is the one that slides in from the front and is obviously one of the metric dovetailed ones. The ones that NECG sells are too large. This one's base measures about .155" wide by .900" long. Anyone got one laying around?Jim

I was faced with the same problem awhile back. We couldn't locate the smaller size so we machined a larger dovetail to accept the NECG.

Jim,

Would it be possile to machine it for a regular M98 Mauser front sight blade?

Jim, you might tig weld a blank into the dovetail then mill standard dovetail into the side.
