Hector, why would you bother, the difference would be so slight I can't think it would be worthwhile.

It appears the Wby reamer would clean the 300 Win chamber. But as was stated why?? A lot of work and headache for 40fps. I hate those rounded shoulders. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Why do it?... Because he dam well wants to!, and that's reason enough! Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

With 26" of barrel should win no less than 200 feet with 150 / 180gr bullets or I'm wrong? Thanks for your attention, Hector

Based my 300wmag and my buddies 300wby both 26" he got me by about 50fps. Just running QL using a 26" barrel 165gr Nosler Accubond with 64000psi. The 2nd faster listing for both was MRP. In the 300wmag 80.5 grs gave you 3326fps. In the 300Wby 85.1 grs gave 3355fps. Granted this is calculated. Go to the Hornady site for example they load for both. They post around a 40fps difference. If you use the velocity listed on the Weatherby site then yes it might show 200fps of a factory 300win. All that said like Matt said build what you want. It is your $ and last thing I want is for someone to build a rifle and have second thoughts and wish that had built something else. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
