Yes me and light stuff. Big Grin

Several years ago I bought a couple Russian Makrov pistols to carry in the car. For the few $$ I paid for them they work great. EXCEPT. Each pistol came with 2 magazines. It seems like that in each pistol and each of the 4 mags the last shell will nose over and not load. Shooting basic ball ammo.

Spring Tension? Follower shape?? Other ideas??

Probably just what your list says; Spring pressure, follower shape combo. When that last round is up, there is not enough spring pressure to prevent the follower shape from failing you.
However, It could be Russian way of saving ammo. They have tried many creative things in war time. Give one guy the rifle, another guy the reload, third guy to pick up the rifle...

I would bet 90% weak spring. It is not strong enough to hold the last round in the same manner as the first ones.

I do not remember the Makarov well, but try shimming the bottom of the spring to provide slightly more force, if you can without sacrificing the last round capability.

Well took one apart besides being dirty Frowner Might hit it with a touch of polish.

Place a shim under the spring and the last round will not hit the top of the chamber no nose over. No telling how old these springs are. So ordered new spring for all 4 mags. Might as well start with fresh metal. While I wait on them do some cleaning. Roll Eyes
