djpaintlesI bought a grab bag of ebony from Woodcraft. It had enough ebony for probably 10-12 forends and grip cap inserts. It cost just a couple dollars more than 1 pc from Brownells.......DJ

Its pretty bad when I can't remember who I sent you to..........must be the reaction of me spending money on the new belt sander.....you know I have to get therapy when I spend money.

larrysLook on ebay. Sometimes they have real good deals. I buy off Ebay all the time and have never had a problem. People like Chitswoods, lindaswoods, and West penn hardwoods come to mind.

WinkI've spent a litte time hanging around sawmills in Central Africa and have always wondered why some of the more luxorious woods don't end up as riflestocks. For instance, is Padauk a wood appropriate for riflestocks? How about Madagascar Rosewood?
