I love old Model 77 Rugers but putting one back together can be a pain.I have before converted, with the new c washer from Ruger ,to a open the bolt safety .I dont like the older guns which require you to take the bolt off safety to open the bolt.I am selling one of my old short action Rugers and I cant get the orginal safety which locks the bolt back in the gun.I put it in but it does not lock the bolt or stay in place.I wanted the new washer in the gun to convert it but the guy I am selling it to wants the origial safety in it.Ruger converts the older guns to the newer open bolt safety but charges $25 plus you have to ship it also.

I finally got both of them fixed after a few tries fidding with them.
