I have a an Argentine made '09 Agentine action stashed for a future project. The fit and finish of it equals any of the DWM's I have seen. As far as hardness goes, I haven't got that far. Maybe if I have a $1000 barrel installed I'll have Viagraized.

What you "suggested" was that it would cost $150 to $500 for the barrel and $200 to $500 to have it "reamed" and installed. You deleted it right after I posted. You just clicked the box so that it does not show that you edited your post. That just makes you devious. Guess that goes along with the occupation. That really isnt fair. I do know some honest attorneys, you just don't seem to be one of them.

Right now you are getting in deeper and deeper, so if it were me I would stop digging.
For others, I do have a $1000 dollar barrel on one of my rifles. It features a quarter rib, swivel eye, and ramp that was milled from a blank and is all in one piece yet except for the hood on the ramp. It is round and not octagon.

You are correct. I did delete some of my post. Not with the intention to be devious though, and if you would have specifically mentioned earlier that my deletion bothered you I would not have been as impolite as I was towards you.

many years ago I worked for a gunsmith for awhile, and I have actually built a few guns and made a couple of stocks.
nothing compared to the level of todays craftsmen, however.

Mr. Soverns, I did not say that South American Actions were no good. All I said was that I have owned two of them, had them Rockwell tested by a professional heat treater, and they both tested on the B scale. There are those here who feel that re hardening is not necessary, and thats fine. I am no metalurgist. But if some of the top makers in the country insist on heat treating their actions (David Miller for one) that is good enough for me.
