There's been alot of discussion of these on this forum so I thought I'd post here. Two scarce ZG-47s for sale on GunsAmerica (not mine, someone buy them so I don't):

I thought I read on this forum a few months back where Kutenay said that these sometimes showed up for sale in Canada for around $400.00 Canadian, which makes these two pretty steep in price, wouldn't you say?

I saw those also, then I saw the price.

Stuff on Gunsamerica is most all high or over priced priced it seems.

My earlier posts on the price of these rifles perhaps did not disclose that I have a very good relationship with two major Vancouver, B.C. gunshops; this enables me to sometimes pick up choice guns at very good prices. It simply requires treating them with respect, honesty and having the cash on hand to make the buy when offered. I just bought a 95% Mod. 64-.30-30 with Lyman factory tang sight for about half of what they list for in the "Gun List" as one example; I know what to look for and the shop owners never bother to try to beat me on a deal...so, they each receive a lot of money from me each year, this benefits everyone concerned.

With that, I would say that a ZG-47 such as those shown would run about $700.00 here, on average, I have one evenn nicer than those which I paid $550.00 CDN for about two years ago. So, it can be worth searching for them in Canada, if, you can handle the export hassle to the USA, a subscription to Canadian Access to Firearms is a place to start.

Also keep in mind the guy put his phone# in the ad. Those are his "asking" prices, Where the negotiating begins on his side.
