My 93 coc has a extremely strong spring it takes alot of effort to close. Is there a common remedy fix like a lighter spring or ??

Yes.Send me yours and I’ll send a weaker one. Realize that lock time will be slower but for your application it won’t matter. Reliability is what us important.or snip off a coil at a time until you like it. Hopefully it will still fire.
You might have a 98 spring in it.
