Guys, I've been looking at shotguns a lot lately. I rather like the looks of the Franchi Renaisance and the Weatherby Athena D'italia III. There are some I like just as well, like the Browning Citori grade III 16 gauge. The Franchi and Weatherby does not come in a 16 gauge. Now to the point. The Franchi and Weatherby guns have gold birds of some kind on the sides. The Browning has birds but not in gold. Can the Birds on the Browning be gold plated or whatever they do to the factory guns? I think that a full scale gold inlay of these birds on the Browning would be a little more than I wish to spend on a field use gun. So, is there a lesser expensive way to make these birds gold like the factory guns?

link Seriously, Isnt that the SXS Weatherby? If so, CDNN has them for $1800, but I have read some so-so reports on them. I think they look better than they shoot. Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

No Mr. Potterfield. It's the new Italian-made O/U. There is no 16 gauge though! Ink? Your knowledge amazes me? Now I know why Midway is so messed up. Dealers don't know much about their product either? With the economy like it is one would think they would spend a little more time at their so-called craft? I don't think Oslima and the demoncraps will bail them out any time soon? I'll just keep my money buried in the back yard and continue to use my somewhat heavy Antonio Zoli!
