craigster,

failed again, eh? Your guy was less than a century late in mis-quoting Twain. And repeating a lie won't increase your standing here any, either.

Here's a second chance for you. IIRC, it was John Wayne who said, life is hard. It's even harder when you're stupid...

take care, and have a happy turkey day.

Rich

"harder when you're stupid", you know all about that.

If stupid could fly, you'd be a jet.

For some reason this whole thread reminds me of that old joke about the social researcher (?) who was concerned about the inability of people to make up their minds.

(I am sure you've heard it but, just in case, it goes something like this: )

So the researcher asked a doctor what two and two made.

"I think it's four - but I'd like a second opinion."

He then asked an engineer the same question. The man squinted at his old slide rule and said:

"Well, it might be 3.98 - but it could be 4.02."

Finally, he put the question to an accountant.

"Vat vould you like it to be?"

Well, I decided to just bed the rings. I got a smooth bedding on the lower half of the rings, then applied rosin to the lower halves. hopefully that will hold the scope secure
