Just wondering wether the stainless marlin guide guns in 45/70's are prone to galling or problems of the like that have been spoken about before on this forum. Usually this tpoic is associated with bolt guns.

PC--

I would doubt very seriously a Marlin could be made to gall without tearing something else up first. Don't worry about it.

What galling problems on the bolt guns are you talking about? I have stainless rifles as well as stainless sixguns and I have not seen any galling problems with any of them. Is this a fact or a fiction or just in the head? Thanks.
