Several months ago I had a Professional Ordnance Carbon-15 "crater" on me. Upon firing, the bolt "twisted" into, leaving a hopelessly jammed mess. I'm not at all sure what went wrong. I immediately went to look up Professional Ordnance for repair assistance and found that the company was defunct. "Now I'm really screwed", I thought.

Months passed and eventually Bushmaster took over the P. O. line. I emailed Bushmaster about my P. O. C-15 and they said that they would honor all warranties and to ship it to their Arizona facility. So I did, along with a letter explaining the problem, and by UPS tracking number verified that it arrived in Arizona on Thursday, September 4. I was thinking that I might drop them an email this week to ask about their assessment, but when I got home last night, Wednesday, September 10, my fully-repaired rifle was waiting for me!

The note with it said that they had replaced the gas block, piston, bolt, and a couple of other parts. I can't believe that turn-around time! They must have repaired it and shipped it back out by the next day after recieving it. Thanks, Bushmaster, both for your courtesy in honoring the previous manufacturer's warranty and for your incredibly quick repair work!

How does it shoot now? I thought the Carbon-15 was way cool, except for the fact they don't go bang with every pull of the trigger! [Eek!]

I was happy to see Bushmaster picked them up; hopefully they have the expertise and $$$ to make them right.

That's good to hear. I've had great experience with Bushmaster myself. No malfunctions and their accuracy far exceeded my expectations. Also, the fit/finish has surpassed the newer Colts IMHO.

Cannot comment on regular Bushmasters, but my Bullpup is not very accurate. Also, with open sight. it doesn't shoot anywhere close to the sights. A call to Bushmaster revealed that it was designed for a scope or red dot, and therefore where it shot with open sights was not an issue. I am NOT trying to knock Bushmaster. I really like the bullpup design, even though their rifle is rather heavy. I was just a little disappointed in the accuracy of the bullpup. Anyone else have one of these?
Peter.
