like the title says, i picked up a gorgeous .300H&H... and the rear sight is damaged... it has 2 folding leaves, on a single hinge...they fold down flat when not in use...thanks, jim

What year is your rifle or what is the serial range? How about a photo?

If what your describing and what I'm thinking of are the same thing then that is/was the .375 H&H rear sight for barrels without the rear sight boss. That's not to say that your rifle didn't come with that sight from the factory since winchester accomadated special orders.

I bought it from a seller that said it was for a Savage 99, but some research told me it's for the pre-64 .375 H&H M70.

Of course, Davis is correct, it's a 6W, my post has been changed. That's what comes of working from memory.

Thanks for the heads up.
