That appears to be Smithson Rings. Nice!

There are some who say that a rifle cannot be set up to work properly with both a scope and with irons. How are you asking Mr. Wiebe to make the stock to compromise for that? Or don't you believe in that theory?

Yes, the barrel was made by Ralf. I went into the project planning on having him make the barrel round with an integral quarter rib. Ralf talked me into a full length rib, while Duane stood behind me chuckling. When I turned to talk to Duane again, Duane just smiles and said "I knew you'd end up with a rib".

I must say that I am glad I listened to them. The barrel is pretty cool as delivered.

Yes, they are Smithson rings.

I only asked Duane to make the stock as he makes them, just as I wouldn't tell Picasso how to paint a picture.

We did have some discussion of the scope/sight setup on my last rifle, but I just told Duane to build it as he thought best. I have no issues at all using both the scope and irons on this rifle:

Excellent !. Some day maybe if economics become better , I might be able to have Duane build

a stock for me . Of course It may require him working backwards as I would need the Bolt on the opposite

side of the action .
clap Very Very Nice work indeed !!!.
