Making pachymyr decelerators less sticky

Shot my ZG with it's McMillan and decelerator. Kept getting hung up on my coat to the extent that I had to modify my mounting technique with consequent poor effect on my running moose scores.

Is there any way of making then non stick?

Pachmayr also makes a Decelerator for Sporting Clays which has a smooth upper section to eliminate hang-up. This might work for you.

I use crazy glue on the sides and top of the pad. I leave the back of the butt as-is. I wrap my finger in saran wrap to spread out a thin layer. The surface will crack a bit after a few years, but it looks antique not shitty. It's crazy glue - all warnings apply. Smiler

Here's a pic of a red shotgun pad that was too sticky and got the treatment. I lit the photo to highlight the glued portion. The interface isn't that distinct in regular light.
