I think and hope it is worthy to mention those smiths that work on Enfields.
Hopefully, I can get us started here.
Chairman Emiritus, and #1 has to go to Tom Burgess.
Tied for the #2 spot are Dennis Olson of Plains, Montana and Jim Wisner.

22WRFAnother guy whom you wouldn't autmatically think is an absolute expert with Engfields is none other than Mr. Ted Blackburn of Blackburn bottom metal fame. It is almost unbelieveable what he can do with a 1917.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us... "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."
Thus ends today's lesson in irony.

Olson EnfieldDennis has a Winchester P17 of mine right now that will be made into a light 375 RUM. Mark's action was the inspiration for that project...

Thanks for the kind words. Being that my project is still work in progress, I was a little reluctant to post those pics again.
Dennis is presently working on a .375 H&H for me on a M-1917. I thought that would make a great pair, .300 H&H and a .375 H&H.

Alberta CanuckIf you live in Canada, and want work done on P-14/17's at a price that won't require you to sell your Uni-Mog and start riding a mule, I would recommend Elwood Epp's shop in Orilla, Ont.
I know Elwood is gone, but the folks there still do outstanding work for a modest price on the P-series of "Enfields". (Unless somethng else has drastically changed in the recent past.)
My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
