Now this is some checkering...
I think this is Bill Sovern's $85 checkering job

Actually it's from a Wiebe rifle (not mine) offered for sale over on Guns America.

I don't really care for fluer de lis checkering, but I can appreciate the work that went into this pattern.

It's getting close to "too much", but I like it and if anyone here did it my congratulations to them.
It's spectacular.

Very good workmanship, but too "busy" for me.

Exquisite work but too feminine for my taste.

I love it. Looks like something I could screw up once or twice. Thanks for sharing Forrest!

Fantastic work. But like others to much for my taste. Bill's is more for me.

As usual just my $.02

I am more of a point guy myself, but I must nice say I like it. I the second stock in the rotation is a fleur-de-lis and I may incorporate some of this pattern into the one I do.

And actually, the first stock up in the rotation is up to me, and I may do a f-d-l pattern on it just for the hell of it.

Thank you for posting these pics! I never would have seen them other wise
