I have aquired a Colt Model 1877 "Thunderer", .41 caliber revolver. It is in fairly sad shape. I have replaced all the internal springs, and the screws, but it obviously needs some hand, cyl stop, and sear/hammer work. Would also like to get it refinished, if it can be done without removing the orginal markings. Judging by the s/n, it is a fairly late production model. Can anyone recommend someone to do this type of work?

You didn't ask but I'd check on the collector value status on this piece before having it refinished.

Thanks for the response. I've done a bit of checking, and the shape this one is in, I think it would enhance the value-if done properly...
