Everyone,

Help me understand something, two things really. First, what is the difference between the Browning A-bolt and A-bolt II? Secondly, why do people seem to "intensly" dislike the A-bolt? I have one and love it - am I just too stupid to realize I'm shooting junk? Please help me understand.

some folks dislike everything....there's always someone that dislikes Rugers, winchesters, Remingtons, etc. etc. .....

Personally I owned a micro medallion and loved it. It was reliable, accurate, and well finished. A friend owneda A-Bolt Stalker stainless and he also loved it....

They are not CRF and some folks think that's important.....

All in all, at least I, for one, think they're a fine gun.

I wouldn't give you a dime for a truckload for them $%&@ing boses however.

I had a browning a-bolt II stainless stalker, the gun was extremely accurate sub 1/2" groups from a 375 with 300 gr bullets, but recoil was just barely manageable and all the scope mopunting screws pulled loose once then a second after having them retapped to 8x40. it was a pretty good gun very reliable as long as the scope held and the action screws stayed tight (another small problem with this gun). Would i own another yes, in 375 no!

Vladimir,

If you like your rifle and shoot it well, nothing that anyone else says should matter. Cool
