Looking at the spur on the trigger guard of a TC Contender... what would it take to bend/reshape the spur? Or is this a job for cutting and rewelding?

cut & reweld - rebending it will either crack at the bend or snap inhalf at the bend - gotta agree with you though - that has to be the ugliest trigger guard in existance

It is possible to heat and bend. I had a ruger Super Blackhawk and I didn't care for the squeare back dragoon trigger guard, so I cut, heated, bent and welded it up to a rounded trigger guard.
