I just bought a CZ in 375 h&h and it is rough feeding ammo from the magazine to the chamber. If I cycle the bolt very fast, it will feed them most of the time, but if I cycle the bolt slower(normal pace) it hags up half way into the chamber. It seems like the claw on the bolt isn't allowing the cartridge head to slide all the way onto the bolt face. This does not allow the cartridge to staighten out on it's way into the chamber. any suggestions? should I send it to CZ for warrenty work? Does it sound like the claw just needs to be reworked?

Could be that the bottom of the claw needs a little dressing. A little relief angle work and polish. Unless you are in a big hurry, I would say, contact CZ. Let them have first shot at it. It's under warranty. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. Yeah, I'm not in a big hurry, but deer season starts November 8th and I need it for that. so if they can get it back to me before then, I'll send it in. Otherwise I'll wait till after deer season. I'm really hoping they'll fix it because it's kinda my dream rifle. I've wanted a 375 H&H since I started shooting guns. granted it's the cheapest rifle for this caliber, but it should at least feed reliably for $1000.

Well, My first attempt at gunsmithing anything was a success. I used my dremel tool with flexible sandpaper disk and a manicure file. I flattened out the beginning edge of the claw where the cartridge first touches. I then noticed the other side of the bolt face that is raised had a sharp edge. I smoothed that out. then I smoothed out the edges of the rails so they don't scratch the cases. Now my CZ is feeding very well and I can cycle the bolt as slow as I want. I took my time with it checking after every minor ajustment. Next I'll smooth out the top edge of the feed ramp where the cartridge slides over the edge to get into the chamber. I have to say, although I was nervous, it was kind of neat fixing something like this on my own rifle. Now it feeds smooth as butter even when I cycle the bolt slow. I can load 6 rounds down in the mag and it feeds them all flawlessly so far now.
