Thinking of buying a 7mm Remington Mag Mauser 66, rifle is in great shape, stock is nice, has EAW 30mm scope mounts and pretty nice wood. Kid wants $800 for it he imported it from Germany about 8 months ago when he was stationed there.

Has original box, his story is that he bought it from Frankonia as NIB but old stock. So he got it fairly cheap and is selling it for what he has in it. It's not one of the super Umlaut versions with a hogs back and double rabbit, kind of looks like a Weatherby take off stock gone awry! I like it and the price is low enough.

I like em. If you're seeing it in person, take the barrel off and on just to see how it goes.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

A good friend of mine has a 25 years old 66 in cal. 7x64; I'm always amazed at the range, watching the tight groups he can get with it. A fine rifle indeed and a sort of Blaser 93 "ante litteram"

Thanks for all the help. Your rifle looks a lot like the one I am hoping to get.
