They are made in RSA, Butch Searcy and Tom Carter are the importers.

Searcy is one importer and Carter is another importer. Tom Carter, TC adjustable stocks, Anchorage AK I have an Searcy barreled action in my shop right now. A few things about them. They say reusing military bolt stops is how they keep the cost down, however they don't polish them out cleanly. The race way for the extractor is not deep enough to allow the extractor to pop over a cartidge that has been put into the chamber. In talking to Mr. Carter he stated that they know about that but are not going to do any changes in production. This is a @#$%^ to recut as the reciever is TOUGH, about 45 RC. Requiring carbide cutters to cleanly cut the metal. The square bridges are for looks only. I had to recut this one to accept Talley rings. While it worked out OK, it only leaves .035" of an recoil shoulder. Mr Carter said he would ask then to increase the square bridge hieght 1 mm. Jim Wisner Custom Metalsmith

Thanks Jim for the report! It's always good to hear about some of these honest reviews from a qualified rifle builder.
