What are the options for a low scope mount safety on a 03-A3? I have seen a Model 70 style but dont remember who did them. Does anyone do a side swing conversion like I have seen on Mauser's?

Does anyone make a low profile scope base that use the standard type dovetail and windage screw rings?

All information is appreciated, pictures, prices and links would be a plus.

If by standard DT and windage screw, then yes, Redfield and Leopold. I can make the model 70 safety for it.

Ed Lapour makes a model 70 type safety for the 03A3. Not sure what he charges, but it will not be cheap.

No professionally done work should be priced 'cheap'!

I do convert the Springfields to a side swing like this Mauser, the bottom one, they are a bit more work though.

Ed's conversion is really state of the art...All new parts and fast lock time
